ANANDA

Ananda, Ireland's finest Indian restaurant. Innovative cuisine, authentic flavours, local produce, distilling a true essence of India.

Ananda, a Michelin-guide restaurant, is a modern and original Indian-style restaurant located in Dundrum. Its name means ‘bliss’ in Indian. The chef is Atul Kochar, the first Indian chef to achieve a Michelin Star. The stylish interior encompasses a smart cocktail bar, attractive fretwork and vibrant art.

The restaurant offers exquisite Indian cuisine, exciting the senses with subtle flavours and creative flair that allows for an innovative dining experience. The best local ingredients used by the restaurant are a vital key to the layering of flavours on the palate. Ananda’s food philosophy is to “innovate, experiment, push boundaries and challenge perceptions, creating something that is game changing or myth shattering”. In an Indian context, a deep understanding of spices, the sequence in which they are added and each individual ingredient’s impact on others is paramount.

Ananda pays tribute to both the glorious Irish produce and the age-old traditions of Indian cuisine. The chefs use spices to show off its subtlety and the lingering pleasures it provides on the palate. The dishes are a harmonious blend of tradition and contemporary sophistication. Visually spectacular in every way, the food evokes the true colours and vibrancy of its origins.

Innovative starters at €7.50/€15.50 will catch your tastebuds before moving onto mains that generally cost around €20/€25, with lobster in a Goan style sauce available at €34.
