The setting

The luxurious environment you find at Patrick Guilbaud is unique. Waiters put substantial effort into serving you elegantly to enhance your experience. Guillaume Lebrun, executive chef, drives a team of talented chefs to deliver the best possible dishes. This team is what guaranteed him two Michelin stars. A truly classically-styled restaurant in an elegant Georgian house, this establishment uses accomplished, original cooking with the fresh ingredients while mixing classical French cooking with modern techniques. Dishes are extremely well-crafted and visually stunning, with a superb balance of textures and flavors.

Starter

Starters are carefully chosen and sublimely cooked by the executive Chef, Guillaume Lebrun. Choiches include Red King Crab and Cucumber Mak, Ravioli of Blue Lobster, Pan Roast Duck Foie Gras Pineapple and Russian Asetra Caviar. While the Caviar is a sensational dish, the Lobster Ravioli is unique and has all the flavors coming out in a delicate manner. The seafood is as fresh as if it just came out of the sea.

Main courses

Main courses include fish, meat and vegetarian options. The Salsify and Horseradish Remoulade is what we consider their best vegetarian dish; one that offers great taste for a light choice. If you feel like fish, the Celtic Sea Black Sole is consistently a superior choice, however the Annagassan Blue Lobster is considered their best dish, and they poach it in salted butter to make it stand out from regular lobster dishes. Finally, the Brittany Squab Pigeon is a sublimely juicy dish cooked to perfection. However, our recommendation would be to go for the Sika Deer Roast, a house specialty and a symbol of Irish cuisine. the food is fresh, light, flavorful, and a visually outstanding commensurate with taste.

Dessert

At Patrick Guilbaud you can't forget desserts! The Contemporary Dark Chocolate Tart served with Bourbon Vanilla Ice Cream is a tasty and delicate option that had us all drooling. Their menu also offers exotic choices like the Port Glazed Black Fig or the Tropical Fruit Miroir. Their fine selection of French and Irish farmhouse cheese do not lose out in terms of taste, either!

Our Verdict

Patrick Guilbaud, Michelin Star, Fine dining, luxurant, Ireland, Dublin, fancy, classy, luxury

From the greeting at the door, to the menu presentation, cocktails, meal and wine, the Patrick Guildaud restaurant places itself as a top fine dining experience in Dublin, and nothing short of unmissable. Their team makes sure that every aspect of your experience is outstanding, while the chef visits every table to answer questions and share his love for cooking. The cost is consistent with a visit to a 2-star Michelin rated restaurant in a city famous for its dining experiences.
